Aim of the training course - To develop project development and management competencies of beginner youth workers and youth leaders, who want to implement international youth projects.

International training course "Join in: youth mobility projects with strong social dimension" is implemented under the Erasmus + program, KA1 action. The project is implementing by partners: Order of Malta Relief Organization (Lithuania) in partnership with Sfera Italy, Asociatia Serviciul de Ajutor Maltez in Romania, Fundacja Pomoc Maltanska - Maltanska Sluzba Medyczna (Poland), Creative minds for Culture (Latvia) and OCEAN ZNANJA U REPUBLICI HRVATSKOJ (Croatia).

The training course will gather 33 youth workers in Lithuania from 10th of July (arrival day)  - 17th of July (departure day), 2022.

Aims of the training course:

1. To develop project development and management competencies of beginner youth workers and youth leaders, who want to implement international youth projects.

2. Train beginner youth workers how to involve young people with fewer opportunities in to youth mobility project and how to assure strong social dimension in youth projects.

Objectives:

1.Provide knowledge how to use youth projects as a tool for daily youth work;

2.Learn how to work with youth with fewer opportunities using youth mobility projects;

3.Gain practical project development, project management and implementation skills;

4.Understand how to strengthen social dimension of youth mobility project;

5. Develop understanding of quality criteria in European mobility projects;

6. Develop future Erasmus + youth mobility projects.

Target group:
The target group of the project are youth workers, youth leaders working directly with young people (especially with fewer opportunity youth).

We will select people who are:

  • from 18 to 99 years old;
  • directly working with youth;
  • able to communicate in English;
  • able to participate the whole duration of the training course;
  • willing to develop future Erasmus + projects with other participants of the training course.

Participating countries and number of participants: Lithuania 7, Poland 6, Italy 5, Latvia 5, Romania 5, Croatia 5

Methodology of the training course - Main principles we will follow during the learning process are:

1. Learner centered approach – it will be taken into account the personal needs and interests of each participants leading to personal and professional development.

2. Dealing with diversity – by creating the safe environment the diversity within a group will be seen as the source for sharing and learning.

3. Relevance to reality – the learning will be as close as possible to the reality of the participants making the links to and taking the examples from the real situation of the participants.

4. Learning from the experience – the personal experience of participants will be the source for learning by reflecting on it and making the conclusions for further application.

5. Active participation – space and conditions for active participation will ensure active role and involvement of the participants during the learning process.

Preliminary program of the training course:

Day 1: Introduction to the training course, youth pass and creating the learning atmosphere;

Day 2: Knowing the Erasmus + program and the context or partner organizations, and their experience;

Day 3: Principles of youth work, social inclusion youth and using projects as tools for learning;

Day 4: Youth project management. How to assure strong social dimension. Developing future project ideas;

Day 5 and 6: Project development simulation with inputs on Erasmus + quality criteria;

Day 7: Agreeing on next steps (action planning to implement the project ideas) and dissemination and visibility of the project, final evaluation of the the training course;
