Training Course

22-28 June 2023 | Statek Habří, Czech Republic

Into the Core is a 7-day training course on PlayFight methodology for youth workers that want to empower the young people to handle the challenges of today's world with confidence and resilience.

THE PROJECT

We will fully dive into the Playfight methodology as participants and reflect on how we can apply its principles and approach as facilitators, trainers or coaches.

We will be 27 people from 9 countries on a journey to become familiar with the PlayFight methodology and develop our own facilitation skills. All of this will be guided by an experienced team in a supportive and safe environment. 

THE METHODOLOGY

Playful fighting - PlayFight is an innovative somatic methodology that uses elements of conscious work with the body and emotions and the art of honest communication. Main activities of PlayFight consists of:

  • mindful practice through movement, breathing, meditation, focus and reflex games
  • playfighting as a non-verbal physical activity
  • sharing circles - a safe space for personal verbal sharing and reflection

WHAT YOU CAN GET OUT OF THE PROJECT

  • get to know ways of using the PlayFight methodology, to empower youngsters and facilitate their inclusion

  • explore new possibilities on how to create a safe space for expressing emotions (verbally and non-verbally) & specially anger (non-violently) through communication and movement

  • foster essential facilitation competencies in psychosomatic approach (holding space, listening emphatically, navigating group process..)
  • gain new skills to find win-win solutions in conflicts and build resilience
  • learn to listen to your own body & experience authentic connection to yourself and others
  • have fun while increasing your creativity, flexibility, and playfulness in an international group of like-minded people

THE PROJECT IS FOR YOU IF YOU ARE

  • an active youth worker, facilitator, volunteer, or a person who works with other people
  • enthusiastic, motivated, open to new challenges and committed to participate in the project through all the phases (preparation, training course and organisation of a follow-up activity)
  • enjoying movement & working with your body
  • resident of one of the partner countries
  • 18+ and speaking fluent English

Participation fee

For participating in this course, there is a contribution of 50€ to 100€. By making a contribution, you enable us to give back to others by keep on creating learning programs for which funding has not yet been secured.

Accommodation and food

This training program is co-funded through the Erasmus+ program, therefore accommodation and food are fully covered.

Travel reimbursement

This training program is co-funded through the Erasmus+ program, therefore the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount per country will be fully reimbursed. Here you can find the amount limit for travels assigned to each country:

  • 180€ | Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia
  • 275€ | Bulgaria, Estonia, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Spain

Green travel

For some of the countries, there is the option of an extended budget in case you decide to travel green by train, bus or carpooling.
