International Online Conference “Solidarity in Action: A Call for a Stronger ESC”

Conference – Symposium - Forum

11 December 2025 | Online, Italy

An opportunity to join organisations, EU stakeholders and practitioners in shaping a stronger and more inclusive ESC. A space to exchange insights, influence future policies and ensure that the voice of those working directly with ESC volunteers is heard.

This online conference is organised by The GloRe Network together with a broad coalition of organisations active in European volunteering and non-formal learning. It is designed for practitioners, youth workers, trainers and organisational representatives involved in the European Solidarity Corps (ESC). The activity will take place online on 11 December 2025, from 16:00 to 17:30 CET.

The event brings together volunteering organisations, Members of the European Parliament, EU institutions, National Agencies and SALTO Resource Centres to examine current challenges and opportunities for the future of the ESC. The session will provide space for an informed discussion on how to strengthen the programme, with a focus on inclusion, organisational support and the learning dimension.

During the conference, participants will explore the shared recommendations collected through the Petition and Position Paper “Solidarity in Action: A Call for a Stronger ESC”, developed by 98 organisations from 18 countries and endorsed by more than 130 stakeholders. These contributions highlight the practical needs of organisations working directly with ESC volunteers and young people engaged in solidarity projects.

The activity aims to support reflection, peer learning and dialogue between practitioners and policymakers, contributing to a clearer understanding of how to improve the ESC in its next phase.
