Training Course

14-19 November 2011 | Saas-Grund, Vallais, Switzerland

A training course to develop intergenerational actions involving young people
2012 has been designated as the ‘European year on Active Ageing & Intergenerational Solidarity’. This means working towards connecting and bringing together younger and older people in their communities and their daily lives. With this in mind participants on the Youth in Action Trainer of Trainers course have linked up to develop a creative and interactive 5-day residential training approach to explore and develop new community-based intergenerational actions and activities. This course is aimed at youth workers, who work with younger people with fewer opportunities, and will allow them to generate some new ideas (and develop concrete action plans) of how and what youth workers in community contexts can do at local and European levels to develop current intergenerational practice. The training will happen in Switzerland in November 2011 and will involve participants from Ireland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Netherlands, Bulgaria, Spain, Turkey and Lithuania.

Information about training activities reaches SALTO from the most different directions. SALTO cannot be held responsible for incorrect information or changes in the training activities. However, please inform SALTO, whenever you should come upon incorrect data in the European Training Calender.
