Training Course about working with youngsters coming from different cultural backgrounds.
The challenge facing youth workers working with young people from different cultural backgrounds is to promote and practice positive intercultural work and for young people to value this. As a response to this challenge and need, we decided to develope a project aiming to provide a learning space to enable youth workers and young people to develop, discover and promote best youth work practices in intercultural work and intercultural dialogue itself. The general objectives of this project are: -To create a space for interaction, exploring and learning -To explore cultural diversity and identify the opportunities and challenges it presents -To raise awareness and understanding about Intercultural education -To encourage young people to develop their competences/social and cultural skills, sense of initiative and improve their self-esteem -To raise awareness on Erasmus+ as an educational program tool to improve intercultural work in the youth sector. Targeting these objectives, the project responds to the following Erasmus+ aims and priorities: - improve foreign language competences: all activities will be lead in English, participating in the project means to get a chance to practice a foreign language - enhanced intercultural awarness, as it is the main theme of the project itself - increase motivation for taking part in future education or training abroad: special session will be dedicated to the planning of future intercultural actions, we will also show participants the web portals to find learning opportunity abroad - increase capacity to trigger change in international opening within educational organization - greater understanding of responsiveness to social, linguistic and cultural diversity - promotion of mobility activities for learners: Interculturability forsees 2 mobility action, 1 training course in italy and 1 youth exchange in Morocco - increase opportunity for profesional and career development: youth workers will be trained to increase their competence and they youngsters will be involved in the international enviroment stimulating their curiosity and ambitions - increase motivation and satisfaction in the participants' daily work: giving a new sense to the "education", experimenting new ways of learning through non-formal education and experimental learning tools

Esplora is a non-profit Association of social, turistic and cultural promotion that aims to promote responsible tourism and intercultural dialogue as an educative way to discover and understand other cultures.
Esplora works in promoting and organizing travels, events, entertainment, outdoor activities, trainings, services, sports, responsible and accessible tourism.
Esplora has 3 main areas of intervection as school abroad programme, volunteerism abroad and travels in Italy and other Countries.
Esplora involves mainly young people, but offers activities also to adults.
The association can count on various experts as a psychologist, professional travellers, intercultural trainers and educators, youth workers, a lower and an accounter.
Nowdays it has 5 permanent staff and around 50 registered active members, of which 80% are under 30.

Costs

Travel costs will be reimbursed up to 275 euro for Belgium, France, Turkey and Egypt. Regarding Jordan, Lebanon and Morocco the reimbursement will be up to 360 euro. Food and accomodation will be 100% covered by Erasmus+ program.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
