Innovative approaches and tendencies in youth mobility - Developing methods for fostering youth exchange and youth work in Germany and Turkey - Part 2
Seminar
22-24 November 2016 | Istanbul, Türkiye
This three-day conference focuses on bringing researchers and practitioners together, in order to have an overview of the potentials, researches and current tendencies of youth work and mobility programs in Germany and Turkey.
This three-day workshop builds on the results of a first meeting which took place in Berlin in March 2016. This second workshop brings together researchers, practitioners and young creatives and focuses on current tendencies, research results, innovative approaches and creative methods for youth work and youth mobility programs in Germany and Turkey. It aims at providing a platform for exchange, enabling sustainable cooperation among participants and establishing an informal think tank for creative approaches to youth mobility between Germany and Turkey.
• Strengthening the idea of European Citizenship and cross-border mindsets by using Germany’s and Turkey’s youth’s potential and discovering the special potentials of exchange projects between both countries;
• Exchange of experiences in youth information, networking and partnerships in the field of youth work;
• Discussing and developing creative methods for fostering youth mobility.
The workshop aims at bringing together diverse perspectives. 24 practitioners, trainers and researchers from civil society, governmental organizations and from universities working in the field of youth as well as cultural managers and actors working in creative industries and related fields from Turkey and Germany are invited to come together and share their experiences and ideas on youth mobility programs.
Relevant research results and best practice examples will be presented and provide impulses to design common initiatives such as new research projects, trainings and workshops. In particular, through the exchange between both experts from the field of youth work and cultural managers as well as actors from creative industries, the meeting wants to initiate the development of new creative methods for youth exchange projects and provide opportunities to discuss practical feasibility.
