Inclusive youth work - building capacity for greater impact

Training Course

30 October - 7 November 2025 | Busteni, Romania

This project will help our participants create more inclusive activities, attract and engage youth from disadvantaged backgrounds more successfully.

The aim of our project is to strengthen the capacity of our youth workers to engage youth with fewer opportunities and design activities with optimum impact for their target groups.

Our project objectives are:

1. Improve the knowledge and skills of youth workers in the areas of needs assessment, problem-solution analysis, SMART objectives, impact assessment;

2. Equip youth workers with the ability to apply a broader range of NFE methods closely aligned with identified needs of their target groups;

3. Enhance youth workers competences to effectively communicate.

This project is mainly addressed to:

  • Youth workers that are currently working with young people;
  • Youth workers that are new in the youth field but are actively volunteering in an organization;
  • Trainers who work with young people;
  • Teachers involved in extracurricular activities;
  • Volunteers in non-profit organizations.

Age limit: over 18, no upper age limit

The project will be facilitated by trainers with more than 7 years experience in Erasmus+.

Participants in this training course will learn how to:

  • improve their abilities to effectively communicate and provide tailored support (mentoring or coaching) to youth;
  • use measurable indicators and relevant and realistic targets to assess and improve the quality of their youth work;
  • improve their inclusive communication skills (active listening, inclusive language etc) and learn how to create safe environments (using different trust-building methods) for youth to express themselves and connect with each other.
