Training Course

4-12 April 2014 | Ferrara, Italy

The main theme of the training will be focused on raising European awareness of the realities and possibilities for more inclusive society in the anti-discrimination youth projects with marginalised groups, against social exclusion.
"Inclusion PLUS" is a 7-days long training course that will be held from 4th to 12th April 2014 in Sicily, Italy. The training course will gather 37 participants from 17 partner organisations from 15 countries (IT , HR, ES, RO, LV, HU, GR, CY,DK,TR,FR, EE, LT, SI, NL). The main theme of the training will be focused on raising European awareness of the realities and possibilities for more inclusive society in the anti-discrimination youth projects with marginalised groups, against social exclusion. Objectives: -Exchange practices among youth workers from different countries on various aspects and perceptions of marginalization and inclusion, insights and values about youth work with marginalized groups -Motivate and empower youth workers for active promotion of combating social exclusion in their activities by respecting values and principles of European youth work for inclusion and proposed solutions and recommendations for challenges in their project management and fundraising -Empower youth workers in understanding and using new Erasmus PLUS, Europe for citizens and Daphne III programmes for their youth work for inclusion and developing their skills in grant application writing for working with marginalized groups within the programmes -Develop new local and European projects for inclusion, that are aimed at raising young people's awareness of everyone’s responsibility in tackling poverty and marginalization as well as at promoting the inclusion of groups with fewer opportunities. The course is designed as open non-formal education and learning process based on participants’ experience and exchange. Different methods will be used by trainers and designed upon the profile of participants and their learning style. ACCOMMODATION All participants will be hosted in an hostel in Ferrara, with double or triple room. The hostel is equipped with Internet connection and facilities for meeting. HOW TO APPLY AND DEADLINE The deadline to send the application form is 28th of February. Selected candidates will be informed about the selection result till 4th of March. Associazione InformaGiovani was established in 2001. It aims at foster and promote human and civil rights, with focus on right to information and participation; defend social and collective rights; promote local and international volunteering as tools for social inclusion and active citizenship. The association runs activities of information, training and counselling, seminars on EU programmes, on social volunteering and international cooperation, focusing on inclusion and rehabilitation of young people who are or risk experiencing social exclusion. Since 2008 organizes youth exchanges and international workcamps, involving about 250 participants. It is accredited as HSC organization for EVS, member of the Lindh foundation and of the Italian antimafia network “Libera”. Since 2009 is leading an informal European network for social volunteering and social inclusion and co-operates with Italian Juvenile Justice System to train youth workers and include young offenders in international activities.

Costs

Board, lodging, local transports, materials and the content of the training are fully covered 70% of travel costs will be reimbursed only for the cheapest way of transport and for the return tickets. By the rules of the Youth in Action Programme for the respective sub-action, you will be reimbursed 70% of your travel costs (for all the original tickets and ways of travel that are plane, bus, train or ferry, NOT taxi and NOT car). Participants must keep all travel documents (tickets, travel agency invoices and boarding passes) as organizers are able to make any reimbursement only on the bases of presented documents! The travel reimbursement will be done by bank transfers to private bank accounts of yours after you return home and send us the ORIGINAL boarding passes and tickets.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
