“Improveability” Training for designing NFE tools for employment

"Improveability" is focused on developing specific competencies in designing nonformal education tools for youth workers, facilitators and trainers, aimed at increasing employability of young people.
The main aim is to strengthen the role of youth work in fighting unemployment of young people through development of new nonformal education tools that would increase their employability. Specific objectives are: • To gain understanding of youth work as a powerful tool for empowerment and personal development of young people • To share the realities of youth work and employability in participant’s communities and approaches that have worked in bringing them together; • To understand the importance of experiential learning and practice in increasing employability of young people; • To recognise learning needs of young people and be able to design new tools according to them. • To increase ability to asses competences of young people and develop tools that would build up on their existing competences and develop ones that are missing for their future employment; • To develop practical competencies in designing and applying new tools of nonformal education in youth work; • To increase the level of creativity, innovation, self confidence and trust in nonformal educational tools; • To recognise the value and increase the ability to use Erasmus+ programme in increasing the employability of young people; • To contribute to a long term change in educational approach to employability in youth work field. Target group and criteria for selecting 30 active youth workers/trainers/facilitators (no age limit): • dedicated to working with young people in their local reality (work with unemployed young people is desirable, but not necessary) • having basic knowledge of facilitation of nonformal learning processes • having a desire to apply their competences in developing new nonformal education tools that would increase the employability of young people • being supported by their respective organisations in applying their competencies and newly developed tools in working with young people Participants should be residents of one of following countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia and the UK. *(Important Note: applications from residents in other countries (regardless if they are nationals of the countries mentioned before) will not be accepted)

Costs

This project is funded by Erasmus+ Programme. According to its rules, all costs of board and logging will be covered by the organisers. In addition, Youth Power is going to reimburse participants’ travel costs (upon the receipt of all original tickets and invoices), up to the following amounts: Bosnia and Herzegovina: 275,00 EUR Macedonia: 275,00 EUR Malta: 275,00 EUR Montenegro: 275,00 EUR Poland: 275,00 EUR Romania: 275,00 EUR Serbia: 275,00 EUR UK: 530,00 EUR In addition, there is a 30EUR participation fee per participant.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
