HOSTING THE CHANGE

Training Course

16-23 November 2026 | Lotus Center, Kosmaj, Serbia

HOSTING THE CHANGE is a practical Training Course for youth workers and facilitators to strengthen facilitation skills, exchange experiences and explore tools for group dynamics, communication, reflection and creating spaces of trust and participation.

From 16–23 November 2026, we're bringing together youth workers, facilitators, trainers, youth leaders, volunteers and educators at Lotus Center (Serbia) for a Training Course on Facilitation Skills. Together, through experiential learning, practical tools, reflection and peer exchange, we will explore facilitation with experienced trainers whose knowledge and practice are rooted both in ecovillage living and in the rich traditions and realities of our region. We will learn how to:

  • understand group dynamics
  • build trust & connection
  • navigate conflict and difficult emotions
  • support groups without taking over
  • create a safe space for people to embrace their authenticity

What will you gain in this project?

  • you will develop your facilitation skills for working with young people and groups
  • you will explore how to create safe spaces where people feel heard, supported and free to express themselves
  • learn how to stay present in challenging or uncertain situations
  • connect with like-minded people
  • develop practical skills, inspiration and confidence to initiate positive change in your own community
  • exchange experiences and ideas
  • get a chance to take an active role in our Youth Exchange planned for 2027.

We are looking for:
Motivated young people (20 years old or older) who are actively involved in youth work and connected to a partner/sending organisation involved in the project.
Youth workers coming from: Serbia, Italy, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Romania.
We're especially happy to welcome people with fewer opportunities, coming from rural areas and those ready to bring what they learn back to their organisations and communities.
