Healthy Volunteering And Local Activism 2 Youth Work

Training Course

4-12 July 2026 | Brzeće, Kopaonik, Serbia

This training course supports youth workers in developing skills in non-formal education, youth engagement and community development, empowering them to promote active citizenship, volunteering and healthy lifestyles among young people.

This training course brings together youth workers, youth leaders, volunteers and individuals actively involved in the field of non-formal education and youth work, with the aim of strengthening their competences in engaging young people through innovative, participatory and experiential learning approaches.

The activity is designed to support the professional development of participants by providing practical tools, methods and knowledge that can be directly applied in their daily youth work practice. The training focuses on key areas such as youth engagement, volunteering, healthy lifestyles and community development, while promoting active citizenship and social responsibility among young people.

Throughout the programme, participants will take part in a variety of non-formal learning activities, including interactive workshops, group work, simulations, outdoor activities and reflection sessions. The methodology is based on experiential learning, peer-to-peer exchange and intercultural dialogue, allowing participants to learn from each other’s experiences and realities in different countries.

Special attention is given to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment, where participants are encouraged to share their perspectives, develop new ideas and strengthen their competences in working with diverse groups of young people, including those with fewer opportunities.

The training course also aims to strengthen international cooperation between organisations and youth workers, fostering networking, partnership building and the development of future initiatives within the Erasmus+ programme.

By the end of the activity, participants will have enhanced their skills in designing and implementing non-formal education activities, improved their ability to motivate and involve young people, and gained new insights into how to contribute to the development of resilient and active communities.

This activity is part of a broader framework of initiatives organised by the host organisation, which is marking 150 years of existence in Kruševac this year, contributing to the promotion of volunteering, solidarity and youth engagement at both local and international levels.
