Green Pathways

Training Course

31 May - 8 June 2026 | Bansko, Bulgaria

Green Pathways is an Erasmus+ training course that empowers youth workers to integrate sustainability into their everyday practice through experiential learning and nature-based approaches.

What if sustainability wasn’t just something we talk about, but something we experience, practice, and bring into our everyday work with young people?

Green Pathways is an Erasmus+ training course that empowers youth workers to integrate sustainability into their everyday practice through experiential learning and nature-based approaches.

The 7-day training course builds on the experience of Green Compass and is guided by the European Sustainability Competence Framework (GreenComp). It will take place between May 31st and June 8th, 2026, in Bansko, Bulgaria.

Participants will explore how to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to support young people in engaging with sustainability in meaningful and practical ways. Through interactive workshops, outdoor learning in nature, and study visits to local sustainable initiatives in the Bansko region, the training connects theory with real-life application. Main learning points:

  • Practical tools to integrate sustainability into youth work
  • Experience with non-formal and nature-based learning methods
  • Inspiration and ideas for local actions
  • Connections with an international network of youth workers

Participants

We are looking for youth workers, educators, volunteers, and active members of NGOs who are interested in sustainability and motivated to apply what they learn in their local contexts. Our partner countries are Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, and the Netherlands. Priority will be given to participants with fewer opportunities.

Travel, accommodation, and food are covered by the Erasmus+ programme. Participants will receive a Youthpass certificate.
