Green Games Lab: Innovating Youth Work Through Play

Training Course

6-14 December 2026 | Dobczyce , Poland

The training helps youth workers make non-formal education more engaging and inclusive through game design and gamification, turning educational goals into practical game-based activities for diverse groups of youth.

The training aims to help youth workers make non-formal education more engaging, inclusive and effective through practical use of game design and gamification. Participants will learn how to turn educational goals into meaningful game-based activities that can be used with diverse groups of young people in youth clubs, schools, community centres and other youth-work settings.

-Learn the basics of educational game design and build practical skills in creating games that support clear learning objectives.

-learn how games can support topics such as human rights, civic participation, media literacy, anti-discrimination, environmental education, STEAM and soft skills.

-Use gamification to increase motivation and engagement while keeping activities meaningful and connected to youth-work goals.

-Create inclusive and accessible game-based activities that can be adapted to mixed-ability groups, different learning needs and young people with fewer opportunities.

-Develop ready-to-use educational tools that participants can test, adapt and implement in their organisations and local youth-work practice.
