Go beyond green! Climate positivity in youth mobilities

Do you have an interest in youth mobilities? And you wonder how they can be climate friendly and respect youth rights and needs? Do you want to understand better the concept of climate positivity? And how to apply it to youth mobilities? 

If yes, join us at the training course “Go beyond green! Climate positivity in youth mobilities”, where you will practice and develop critical thinking skills to fight greenwashing; gain skills in the management of activities that are climate friendly; learn how to implement the right-based approach in youth mobilities and understand climate positivity.

Where and when?
It will take place from the 03rd to the 08th of November 2024 in the Naturefriends house Banjaert in Wijk aan Zee, Netherlands.

The project’s topic and one of the goals at the same time is climate neutrality, therefore participants will be required to use green means of travel (train, bus, etc..), which means you should consider the need of travel days before applying. Flying will only be allowed from remote destinations where no sustainable means of transportation are available and only if approved by IYNF.  

Who?   
This training course is aimed at youth leaders, educators, youth workers and interested young people in this field.
We appreciate if you have:

• age 16-30 (limited number of individuals older than 30);
• a genuine interest in activism for climate positivity, regardless of the level of knowledge;
• motivation to gain new skills and get to know new tools to approach debates in a healthy manner;
• motivation to spread and share the contents and newly gained knowledge and experiences during the activity back in your local community;
• good level of English communication skills.

How much does it cost?

Participation fee: 50€ for members and 100€ for non members.

Food and accommodation are 100% covered.

100% of the travel costs covered (up to 320€ if green travel).

Travel costs are reimbursed after attending the whole training.
