Training Course

Global Educati-ON is a training of trainers preparing participants to lead workshops connected to global topics such as responsible consumption, migration, natural resources, climate change, etc.

DESCRIPTION OF TRAINING

„Global Educati-ON” - is a training of trainers under the Erasmus+ programme on the topic of Global Education dedicated to youth workers, teachers, facilitators and community leaders from: Poland, Latvia, Romania, Spain, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, and Germany, working on a regular basis directly with young people. During the training, participants will develop their knowledge on: responsible consumption, migration, natural resources and zero-waste philosophy, climate change, responsible business and critical approach to media. We will also discuss where to find more materials related to the topic and how good scenarios within the Global Education areas should look like. At the end of the training course, participants will create their own scenarios of global education workshops for young people, ready to implement in their local context. Afterwards they will run training trials to check chosen exercises and receive detailed feedback.

PARTICIPANTS PROFILE

Active youth workers (working with or for youth), who:

- have motivation to develop social initiatives for young people and youth workers and implement them locally after the training,

- are open and willing to actively participate and contribute to the program,

- are available and motivated to attend the full duration of the training held in English (7 working days + 2 days of travel)

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

-prepare participants to be Global Citizens, ready to face modern challenges in an increasingly globalised world

-equip participants to be trainers in the field of Global Eduaction by providing adequate skills, knowledge and experiences

-encourage participants to become an “Ambassador of Change” influencing people in their environment by changing their attitude and behavior

-develop workshop scenarios for youth on Global Education ready to use 

-create a list of easy-to-implement recommendations and tips how to be responsible and sustainable

-inspire partners and youth workers to be more sustainable, responsible and ecological in their daily work

-popularise concepts, stories and case studies of change making connected to Global Education and giving hope that change is possible 

ACCOMMODATION

The training takes place at Żywa Ziemia (Living Earth), located in Zakrzewo, close to Gdańsk, Poland. Żywa Ziemia is a natural farm promoting healthy living, permaculture and sustainability (https://www.facebook.com/ZywaZiemia/). They provide shared rooms, multiple training spaces and vegetarian/vegan food, partly produced in their farm.

Participation fee

There is no participation fee.

Accommodation and food

Accommodation and meals included in the programme are 100% covered.

Travel reimbursement

Travel costs are 100% covered up to the Erasmus+ distance calculator corresponding amounts, using the cheapest and most convenient transportation methods.

The maximum amounts for involved countries are:

Germany, Latvia, Romania, Spain, The Republic of North Macedonia  - 275 EUR

Portugal - 360 EUR

There is no travel budget for Poland.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
