Training Course for Youth Workers and Leaders on design of educational games.

This training course is connected to educational game design and game facilitation to address social topics such as migration, inter-cultural understanding, inter-religious dialogue, tolerance, anti-discrimination. The training programme will support youth workers/youth leaders to get inspired and create new games that can be used when working with youth and enrich their own „toolbox“. Be ready to create the games!


Group size and Partners:
Target group of this project will be 32 youth workers and active members of European youth organizations coming from Germany, Estonia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Romania, Greece, Poland, Malta, Spain and Italy.

Working Language:
Working language of the training course is English.

Particular objectives:
- To discuss a game as an educational tool and get to know various examples;
- To give participants tools for identifying learning needs of their target group;
- To equip participants with tools for educational and experiential game design;
- To create a set of educational games on social issues
- To test created games and exchange feedback for future improvement;
Profile of the Participants:
- Age from 18
- Youth workers, youth leaders, activists
- Able to work in English
- Willing to share the new knowledge with the members of his/her organization once he/she gets back, act as multipliers
- Able to attend the entire duration of the course
- Motivated to take an active part in all the stages of the training course, interested in game creation The call is open only for participants from Germany, Poland, Greece, Czech Republic and Italy. The participants from the other countries were recruited by the project partners.

Costs

Participation fee

The partcipation fee is 40 Euro.

Accommodation and food

The organisers will provide accomodation in the hostel (3-4 participants per room) and 3 meals per day during the training days.

Travel reimbursement

For participants from Greece, Italy, and Poland the maximum travel reimbursement sum is 275 Euro. 

For participants from Germany the maximum travel reimbursement sum is 50 Euro. 

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
