From Lived Experience to Opportunity, Knowledge and Action: European Dialogue & Capacity-Building Forum 2027

Conference – Symposium - Forum

23-24 April 2027 | Warsaw, Poland

A European dialogue bringing together young refugees, migrants and stateless changemakers, youth workers, researchers and institutions to explore participation, access to opportunities, community knowledge and youth-led action.

The ENRMSC European Dialogue & Capacity-Building Forum 2027 will take place in Warsaw, Poland, in April 2027.

The forum will bring together young refugees, migrants and stateless changemakers, youth workers, youth leaders, researchers, academics, civil society organisations, public institutions and other practitioners working with young people.

The forum is built around a simple question:

How can we move from young people being affected by systems to young people meaningfully shaping knowledge, opportunities, policies and solutions?

The programme will explore meaningful participation, access to education and professional opportunities, community leadership, research and evidence, youth engagement, advocacy and collaboration between communities and institutions.

Participants will take part in interactive discussions, panel sessions, workshops and facilitated group activities. The programme will combine knowledge exchange with practical capacity-building and opportunities for participants to develop new connections and potential European cooperation.

A particular focus will be placed on recognising lived experience as expertise. Young refugees, migrants and stateless people will not only participate as beneficiaries but as contributors, knowledge holders, community leaders and partners in shaping discussions and recommendations.

The forum will also connect participants with relevant European opportunities, networks and potential partners, including opportunities related to youth work, education, research, leadership and civic participation.

The event is particularly relevant to people working in non-formal learning and youth work who engage with young people from refugee, migrant and stateless backgrounds.

The guiding principle of the forum is:

“Nothing About Us Without Us.”

The forum is currently being developed by the European Network of Refugee, Migrant and Stateless Changemakers (ENRMSC), a refugee-, migrant- and stateless-led European civil society organisation.
