From GROUP to TEAM

Training Course

19-26 October 2024 | Mezzoldo, Bergamo, Italy

The aim of our project is to support youth workers in cultivating competencies for building and sustaining collaborative youth teams.

Our project objectives are:

  • The trainers will facilitate the acquisition of comprehensive knowledge among our selected youth workers in the domain of team management and encompassing group dynamics;
  • Our participants will have the skills to implement at least 10 non-formal team management methods;
  • Our participants will cultivate a positive and proactive attitude among youth workers towards team management, collaboration and adaptability.

This project is mainly addressed to:

  • people who work with youth
  • volunteers
  • mentors
  • facilitators
  • teachers

Age limit: over 18, no upper age limit.

The main trainer:

Alexandru Arhire start his training career 15 years ago, in an insurance company. After 6 years, he realized that this activity does not fulfil his desire to help society. He quit his job and started working with various NGOs while implementing activities in local high schools in Bucharest.

The topics he addresses are topics that young people do not normally learn in school: how to communicate assertively, soft skills, ecology, personal development, how to get a job, etc. He worked with more than 500 young people and 200 youth workers, in the last years. He was involved in writing more than 20 E + projects and he was a trainer in multiple projects where he used non-formal education to help people develop their skills and improve their attitudes.

Participants in this training course will learn how to:

  • develop competences necessary to manage groups they work with and are in;
  • be able to identify group stages of development and use the facilitation strategy;
  • improve their conflict management and resolution skills;
  • become more confident in facilitating positive, supportive group dynamics;
  • improve their communication skills;
  • create inclusive learning environments supporting youth development.
