FREE - International Virtual Exchange

E-learning

13-14 March 2026 | Online, Cyprus

The FREE International Virtual Exchange is an Erasmus+ online programme designed to foster intercultural dialogue, soft skills development and inclusive practices, with a strong focus on empowering refugee and migrant women.

FREE International Virtual Exchange – Call for Participants is Now Open!

FREE International Virtual Exchange is an activity under the project "Female refugees for entrepreneurship and employability", Erasmus+ Virtual exchanges.

The FREE project aims to promote entrepreneurship and employability for displaced young females in EU with the goals of improving their social and economic status, helping them to close the gender gap in entrepreneurship, and contributing to post-conflict rehabilitation efforts through virtual capacity building activities. In this sense, the project addresses the challenges faced by refugee women to enter the labor market due to several obstacles related to their identity aspects such as their ethnicity, skin colour, (dis)ability, religion, socio-economic background etc.

The project draws its frame considering one of the priorities in the cooperation between the EU and the Eastern partnership as support and empowerment to young generation, especially in terms of developing their skills and promoting employment with collaboration of six partners from Armenia, Cyprus, Moldova, Italy, Ukraine, and Serbia. Its specific objectives include conducting research on existing initiatives for empowering inclusion, active participation, and entrepreneurial skills among women refugees, providing inclusive English courses, job shadowing activities, online international youth exchange experiences, and local workshops on entrepreneurship to boost employability among the beneficiaries. Through nonformal education activities, such as English courses, a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), and entrepreneurship workshops, the project seeks to enhance the digital and soft skills of displaced women, promote entrepreneur and soft skills, and encourage intercultural dialogue and the practice of foreign languages.

The FREE International Virtual Exchange is an Erasmus+ online programme designed to foster intercultural dialogue, entrepreneurial skills development, soft skills development and inclusive practices, with a strong focus on empowering refugee and migrant women.
