First Steps with Les Pas Sages

Training Course

4-8 August 2026 | France

Through experiential and participatory approaches, the participants will learn from the values and methodologies of Les Pas Sages, moving through different key dimensions of community building.

Over five days, 30 participants come together to explore how resilient communities are built.

Through experiential and participatory approaches, the participants will learn from the values and methodologies of Les Pas Sages, moving through different key dimensions of community building.

By the end of the training, you will gain an understanding of the Les Pas Sages model and practical, transferable tools to bring back to your own organisations and collectives.

What we will explore:

- Long-term, self-sustaining cohousing: how cooperative housing projects can be designed to "buy themselves back," ensuring affordability across generations, intergenerational equity and reduced dependence on speculative markets.

- Democratic participation and collective governance: strengthen competencies in cooperative decision-making, shared governance and collective ownership models.

- Legal and financial foundations: discover accessible legal frameworks and non-speculative financial models that make community projects stable and replicable.

- Relationship ecology and community resilience: build the skills at the heart of any lasting collective: trust, communication and conflict prevention.
