Learn how to use creative writing and visual arts to approach gender issues & create multilingual art books!
Feminismifragilisticexpialidocious will bring together youth workers, youth leaders, creative writers, illustrators, graphic designers & social workers of Europe. Together, they will develop create educational material about gender issues in the form of multilingual illustrated stories. The training will take place in Saint-Valery-sur-Somme in Picardy , from the 1st to the 15th of November 2015. The project will unite 20 participants and give them a chance to exchange workshops and skills to create multilingual art books on feminism and experience the use of creativity and arts to approach gender issues. The creation of books will be an opportunity for the participants to conduct and attend workshops on gender studies, writing, illustration and the making of books. This aims at enriching their personal and professional skills together with the youth of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme. Creating and illustrating books about feminist stories in multiple languages, across multiple stories and various visual worlds, will also grow the educational material on gender equality.

Costs

We will be able to reimburse your travel costs up to a maximum amount of: - 180 euros for participants from France - 275 euros for participants from Belarus, Estonia, Portugal, Serbia, Spain & Ukraine - 380 euros for participants from Armenia & Azerbaijan We will ask you a participation fee of 50 euros, deductible from your travel reimbursment. Food and accommodation are provided for free.
