Facilitate to Activate is a training course for youth workers, educators and leaders focused on non-formal education, coaching-inspired methods, creative tools, wellbeing, resilience and inclusive youth work.

This training course is dedicated to educators, teachers, youth leaders, and youth workers (18+) who would like to deepen their competences in working with young people through non-formal education, coaching-inspired methodologies, and creative/art-based approaches supporting wellbeing, self-expression, and personal growth.

The program combines experiential learning, reflection, embodiment practices, coaching tools, and elements of art therapy to support both professional development and personal transformation. Participants will explore innovative methods that strengthen emotional resilience, authentic leadership, social inclusion, and meaningful group connection in the context of youth work and lifelong learning.

Main topics of the training:

Non-formal education as a way to build and strengthen social group bonds

Exploring participatory learning methods, creative expression, and safe spaces that foster trust, inclusion, empathy, and community building among young people.

Learning to work with innovative tools, methods, and approaches that boost youth work performance and personal wellbeing

  Introducing coaching techniques, reflective practices, embodiment exercises, and art therapy-inspired activities that support emotional awareness, communication, creativity, and self-care.

Educator = Leader? Challenges and opportunities of youth work in the XXI century

  Reflecting on the evolving role of youth workers as facilitators, mentors, and conscious leaders capable of supporting young people in times of rapid social and emotional change.

My own GROWTH – Get inspired to inspire

  A journey of self-discovery focused on authenticity, emotional intelligence, self-expression, and identifying personal strengths through coaching tools, creative exercises, and guided reflection.

Throughout the program, participants will:

* Gain theoretical knowledge connected with youth wellbeing, coaching, non-formal education, and creative educational methodologies, and put it into practice during experiential sessions and reflection groups;

* Develop practical coaching competences, facilitation skills, and learn innovative educational activities enriched with elements of embodiment and art therapy that can be transferred into their daily work and organizations;

* Strengthen self-confidence, self-awareness, and emotional resilience by fully engaging in an immersive and supportive learning process;

* Learn how to facilitate groups of young people through educational, creative, and reflective activities that promote participation, wellbeing, inclusion, and personal development;

* Discover new ways of designing meaningful youth activities and educational events that support non-formal learning, authentic connection, creativity, and holistic growth for both youth workers and young participants.

Participation fee

We do not expect participation fee.

Accommodation and food

Accommodation and food will be covered by the programme funds. Participants do not pay for it.

Travel reimbursement

The maximum individual travel budget per participant depends on the distance travelled and the type of travel chosen (green or non-green):

• For distances between 10–99 km: up to 56 EUR for green travel or 28 EUR for non-green travel.
• For distances between 100–499 km: up to 285 EUR (green) or 211 EUR (non-green).
• For distances between 500–1999 km: up to 417 EUR (green) or 309 EUR (non-green).
• For distances between 2000–2999 km: up to 535 EUR (green) or 395 EUR (non-green).
• For distances between 3000–3999 km: up to 785 EUR (green) or 580 EUR (non-green).
• For distances between 4000–7999 km: up to 1188 EUR, regardless of the travel type.
• For distances of 8000 km or more: up to 1735 EUR, regardless of the travel type.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
