Eye Opener

The Eye Opener training course offer an international learning experience to young people and youth leaders, motivating them and enabling them to develop their competences in setting up quality Youth Exchange projects under the Youth in Action Programme. Objectives: -To provide an introduction to Youth Exchanges -To offer an individual and group learning experience through a simulated process on setting up a Youth Exchange project -To ensure the active participation of young people in the entire process of developing a Youth Exchange, including the early planning phase -To develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to organise a Youth Exchange -To offer the opportunity to meet possible partner groups and to make contacts in other countries. -To learn how local communities can be involved in Youth Exchanges Working methods: Information sessions, simulation game, group dynamics and other non-formal learning methods. Target group: Teams of 1-2 young people (age 15-18) and 1 voluntary or professional youth worker working directly with the young people. The training course is mainly aimed at those who have no experience of organising international Youth Exchanges under the Youth in Action Programme. The teams should be interested in setting up international youth exchange projects.
