Training Course
14-19 October 2024 | To be confirmed, Norway
About the training:
EYE Opener is an international learning experience for teams of young people and youth workers, who want to learn how to make quality youth exchange projects that can get grants from Erasmus+.
During this training you will explore what quality means in a youth exchange. You will also get a chance to develop concrete project ideas with potential partners. Our hope is that you will get everything you need to be able to submit your application for the coming Erasmus+ deadline.
The programme is built on learning-by-doing and includes a simulation exercise, games, info sessions, workshops, reflection and feedback. See attachment for more details.
PLEASE NOTE: This training is for teams of a youth worker + 1-2 young people from the same organisation. You cannot apply as an individual.
The fact that young people take part in the training gives a whole new dynamic to the process. Young people get first-hand knowledge on project building and the cooperation between youth leaders and young people gets better.
Some of the training sessions will be implemented with the whole group, and in some sessions the group will be divided. This way the learning will be adapted to the different needs of the young people and the youth workers. Young people will get first-hand knowledge on how to plan a project, and the teams will learn more about how youth and youth workers can cooperate in a productive way. Both youth workers and young people will be expected to communicate in English.
Objectives of the training
We would like to:
Who can participate?
To participate you need a team with minimum one youth worker/adult leader and one young person coming from the same organisation/group that would like to learn how to organise a youth exchange. You send in only one application on behalf of the team.
Both youth workers and young people will be expected to communicate in English (eventually with peer support).
Due to the underage participants, this training will be totally alcohol and drug free.
