EVS Project Making

Training Course

14-22 November 2017 | Pesaro, Italy

Training for youth workers with experience in EVS project writing, to improve and update their competences in EVS project design. Space will be provided to update the theoretical knowledge about Project Writing and its main elements.
The TC "EVS Project Making" will gather 22 active project coordinators and representatives from NGOs and Associations involved in youth work and EVS from EU countries. This project would like to offer current youth workers, with at least a basic experience in EVS project writing, a learning opportunity to improve and update their competences in EVS project design. SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT: Classical forms of EVS projects rely to a large extend on the capacities of the Project-Makers in planning, structuring and implementing a coherent educational programme that helps young people to benefit from the made experience and improves their competences for social and economic life. However, for a coherent and well conducted voluntary project many aspects have to be considered by Project-Makers the such as the link between activities and competences development, target group and needs, etc. In this contexts, the training of EVS Project Making would like to offer current youth workers with at least a basic experience in EVS project writing a learning opportunity to improve and update their competences in EVS project design. Therefore, a save space will be provided to update the theoretical knowledge about Project Writing and its main elements. Second, under guidance and support of experienced trainers the participants will plan own EVS Project. From the above stated, the concrete objectives of the project are: - To provide safe space for personal development in non-formal education - To improve the competences of youth workers in EVS project design - To create and test EVS project ideas - To establish links between young youth workers for future cooperation in non-formal education in the youth sector

Since 2014, a further step forward has been taken by the Association taking part to the creation of RIVE (Rete Italiana Volontariato Europeo), a network of Italian NGOs working in the frame of youth international mobility projects. Vicolocorto, and the partner associations, agreed on developing common standards in youth work, focusing in particular on arising the quality of personal support provided to youngsters looking for EVS projects.
