EVS in Palestine: a step toward better quality

Study Visit

16-20 November 2015 | Betlehem, Palestine

The study visit will focus on the reality of Palestinian accredited NGOs involved in the EVS process since the beginning of the process and will foster the creation of new partnerships.
The study visit will tackle issues related to the reality of youth work and the volunteering in the society providing a vision about the different possible fields of projects’ implementation but also about the needs of youth in the country. The visit will allow participants to better understand the EVS projects and to create more consolidated partnership for the future. In fact, the main aim of this Study Visit is to provide a mutual vision of volunteering and be able to create new EVS project on the basis of a concrete common experience. During the study visit, you will be possible to meet organisations in different parts of Palestine as Ramallah, Nablus and Bethlehem. During the activity, will be possible to visit some NGOs, to see their projects and to get in contact with the responsible of the EVS projects as sending and receiving. The activities of the event will extend to 3 full working days, including meeting with Palestinian representatives of national EMYU (Entity responsible for the implementation of the decentralised program Euromed Youth IV), field visits, discussion, partnership building, and of course it would give the participants an opportunity to explore possible joint projects ideas. During the study visit we will open a session to all the not accredited organisations in order to promote the EVS as much as possible and to have a better impact. Participants: Study Visit will bring experienced representatives of Program Countries accredited NGOs who would like to enlarge their partners for new EVS sending and hosting projects. Applicants' Criteria for youth workers: • are representative of the EVS accredited organization working with young people, whom are able and authorize on behalf of its organization to create future projects ideas • are willing to develop sending and receiving EVS projects; • are willing to participate in follow-up or evaluation activities organized by the sending National Agencies or SALTO-YOUTH network • are ready to actively attend and contribute during the full duration of the Study Visit The study visit will start in Bethlehem so participants should arrive on 16/11 by 18.00 max (organisers will provide further information about the transfer) and departure will be on 20/11 after lunch.

This project is financed by the Erasmus+: Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the NAs involved in this project - except a participation fee which varies from call to call and country to country
