EVEREST Exploring Value of Experience: Rewriting Education through Synergy Training

The Training Course aims at giving youth workers, leaders and trainers the opportunity to develop competences in coaching they can apply and use use in their work in to apply their learning back home in groups of young people The participants will find their own personal coaching style and use it to empower growth in themselves and in others, through the use of nature. The whole training is approached as a coaching session of 8 days. The program is consisted out of several coaching methods and techniques such as conversation techniques, contextual training, embodied training, coaching in the nature, group coaching, mentoring and other approaches. Working times are early afternoon, afternoon and evenings. There will be daily reflection on small groups, outdoor activities, indoor activities, lectures, practicing hours, group reflection times. For whom? The training is designed for youth worker who want to develop and improve their competences with working with young people by using coaching tools, share experiences that they can apply in their youth work at home. The training is designed for people with experience in outdoor activities and they are interested on how to use coaching approaches on their work with groups when they plan, implement and debrief outdoor activities. This training is for you if: you work with people in outdoor settings you are over the age of 18 you are willing to explore and experience coaching through 8-12 hour daily program you are coming from: Denmark, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Romania, Latvia, Armenia and Georgia The training will be conducted in simple easy to understand english and participants must be capable on communicating in simple English. Information about venue EVEREST training consists of indoor and outdoor parts. Most of the time participants will spend in the indoor facilities in a hotel in Bakuriani. During the outdoor part participants will have 2-3 days journey around the surrounding area. The project indoor venue is hotel “Bakuriani Resorts.” (http://www.bakurianiresorts.ge/) Participants will be accommodated in 2-3 person rooms. Towels and bed linen, as well as room cleaning service is provided by the hotel. Wifi connection is accessible 24/7. For the outdoor part tents will be provided. Participants are asked to take sleeping bags with themselves on the project. Results From the basic skills and techniques that are given, you can develop your own style on how to use coaching in your work with groups and teams. You learn how to work out of your own qualities and how to improve and implement your already existing knowledge. The result of all this can be a long lasting confidence, while interacting with groups, which will bring you to your desired outcomes with much less effort than before
