30 youth trainers, students or trainees from all over Europe will exchange methods and experience in cross-border youth projects. We want to focus on European aspects like the European elections in May 2014, the European Citizens Initiative (ECI).
This training course for youth NGO´s and trainers is about transnational youth participation. 30 youth trainers, students or trainees from all over Europe will exchange methods and experience in cross-border youth projects in the field of politics and participation. We want to focus on European aspects, especially tackling recent developments and upcoming events like the European elections in May 2014, the concept of European Citizenship and the European Citizens Initiative (ECI). However, every participant is invited to contribute with his/her special interests, qualifications, ideas and skills. We are open to talk about approved methods like “Antiracism-Work” or “Theatre of the suppressed” in connection with participation. Our aim is to build a Europe-wide network of teams, experts and practitioners for youth participation. Everyone, who is interested in developing new transnational projects, is invited to join the project. By the end of the course, the participants will have: + experienced, analysed and reflected upon experiential learning tools as a learning method and their transferability towards their future projects and daily work, especially youth exchanges within the Youth in Action programme; + understood and got the know-how to use different theoretical concepts, which are useful in running European activities for learning; + got the know-how to use methods to tackle the topic of active citizenship and participation with youngsters. Participants have to: + be youth workers and/or youth leaders, students or trainees with interest or experience in using participatory methods as a tool for reaching different learning goals and/or interested in reinforcing the educational effects of European topics and methods in their future projects (especially youth exchanges); + be capable of working in English; + be interested in joining our European participation network.
