European Training Course for Exchange Youth Leaders and Animators

5-12 November 2005 | Torino, Italy

This activity is aiming at giving youth workers the tools to carry out youth exchange projects within the context of the YOUTH Programme (Action 1), with focus on inclusion and active participation of minority youth in Europe.
The course will consist of a first international experience for youth leaders active in their local organisations/communities, interested in developing international youth exchanges in line with the quality standards of the YOUTH Programme and with specific needs of their local realities. As follow-up of the training course participants are supposed to organise youth exchange projects in various European countries to multiply the experience and competence at local level within their organisations and communities. The training course is organised by Giosef – Unito, WFM – Young Women from Minorities, Youth Voice, Fundación Ataretaco, Association Kabo Jovem. Team of trainers The training course is prepared by an intercultural team of trainers from the five partner organisations. The team will be also supported by resource persons and speakers. Participants profile: The training course will gather 29 youth workers working directly with young people who: - Are aged between 18 and 26 years (exceptions, if justified); - Are interested in setting up international exchange projects; - Are able to work in English; - Are able to attend the full duration of the activity. Eligible countries: ITALY, SPAIN, FRANCE, UNITED KINGDOM, THE NETHERLANDS, BELGIUM, PORTUGAL, SWEDEN. Practical and financial conditions: Venue and Dates: The Training Course will be held at the Castle of Casellette (Torino), Italy from 5 November (arrival) to 12 November (departure) Financial conditions: The training course will be held in the Castle of Casellette, near Torino (Italy). How to apply: Candidates must fill in and send the enclosed application form, together with a letter of support from their organisation, before October 15th to the Giosef - Unito office in Italy by e-mail.

Costs

Board and lodging will be provided for all participants. Travel expenses will be reimbursed 70% by the hosting organisation, with funds of the Italian National Agency. A participation fee of 25 EURO will be deducted from the travel reimbursement.
