EFYTED Bootcamp is the first activity from a series organized by GEYC & its partners in the frame of Erasmus+ Accreditation 2023 which aims to equip youth workers with training and facilitating competences.

European Fellowship on Youth Training & Education powered by Digital (EFYTED) Bootcamp is the first activity from a series organized by GEYC ad its partners in the frame of Erasmus+ Accreditation 2023 - 2023-1-RO01-KA151-YOU-000138290.

This training will take place in Benalmádena, Málaga, Spain, between 15 - 23 November 2023 and aims to develop a pool of young trainers across partner countries involved, by equipping youth workers with the necessary competences and focuses to create a framework that can help them gain both practical and theoretical insights.

The activity will involve 24 youth workers, aged 18+, from 8 countries - Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic and Spain.

Objectives:

  • O1: raising competences among youth workers on how to plan, implement and assess the learning process for youth, using non-formal education methodology
  • O2: increasing the know-how of youth workers on online and offline tools of engaging youth in non-formal education programs
  • O3: sharing good practices at European and international level on training and facilitation, in order to increase the quality of their work
  • O4: fostering collaboration and partnerships at European and international level, between NGOs and youth workers, by building a pool of trainers

Participant profile:

  • Participants must be 18+ and no upper age limit
  • Youth workers* and/or educators who want to develop and/or improve their training and facilitation competences.
  • Must be motivated to gain knowledge and practical experience in youth training and facilitation, share their ideas and apply their know-how in various opportunities.
  • Must be available to attend the practical part as well** 
  • Knowledge of English at least B2 level.
  • Residents of one of the partner's countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic and Spain.

*Youth worker: a person who has worked with youth (14-35 y.o) for at least 20 hours in the past 6 months leading activities linked to facilitating a learning process, guiding, mentoring, coaching, informing or supporting young people, online and/or offline, outside the formal education setting.

**The practice part will include:

  • an online course (15 January - 29 February 2024, asynchronous tasks, 6 live meetings, to pass - attend at least 50%)
  • (flexible) - attending the two youth exchanges 
  • EDYS24 (Bucharest, Romania, 16-22 July 2024)

Accommodation, venue & program will be covered for the attending participants, according to the Erasmus+ Program. 

Travel reimbursement

The distance will be calcilated according to the Erasmus+ - distance band calculator from the European Commission. 

See the maximum ammounts that are reimbursed per participant below, depending on the distance band:

Travel Distance > Standard travel > Green travel (recommended)

  • 10 – 99 km > 23 EUR > -- 
  • 100 – 499 km > 180 EUR > 210 EUR
  • 500 – 1999 km> 275 EUR > 320 EUR
  • 2000 – 2999 km > 360 EUR > 410 EUR
  • 3000 – 3999 km > 530 EUR > 610 EUR
  • 4000 – 7999 km > 820 EUR > --
  • 8000 km or more > 1500 EUR > --

 

- After your participation is confirmed and before booking any ticket, you will be directed to consult us for validation of your travel arrangements - the tickets that are not validated by us will not be reimbursed.

- 15 and 23 November are travel days. It is possible to arrive and stay a maximum of 2 days before and/or after the activity at the participants’ own expense and responsibility given that the travel prices are not higher to those of the set dates.

- Green travel is recommended and encouraged for this project. Green travel is defined as the travel that uses low-emissions means of transport for the main part of the travel, such as bus, train or car-pooling. In order for an itinerary to be considered as being done on a green travel policy at least 50% of the itinerary length has to be done with low-emissions means of transport. 

- Travel costs will be reimbursed after the training course, as soon as we receive the dissemination work done by national groups, the reimbursement form filled with the tickets and boarding passes attached. The reimbursement will be made directly to the partner organization, not to the participants. 

Mandatory

- Valid health insurance card or the European Health Card;

- Only cabin luggage is allowed (adding priority boarding and thus having two cabin luggage is also possible), in line with our sustainability policy;

- No private transport (taxi, etc) or 1st class tickets, we are not able to reimburse the check-in done at the airport.

- Booking flight tickets directly from the airline websites (As we have a no-paper policy, please proceed to buy your tickets online and check-in online whenever possible.)

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
