European Citizenship Seminar (in Turkish)

5-9 May 2026 | İstanbul, Türkiye

This seminar is designed to deep-dive into the concept of European Citizenship. We invite Turkish speaking youth workers to explore, debate, and co-create methods to transfer this knowledge to the young people they work with.

What is this activity?

This activity is part of a Training and Cooperation Activity (TCA) organized by the Turkish National Agency for Erasmus+ & ESC. TCA is a tool for National Agencies to support the Erasmus+ Program and enhance its impact.

Specific Objectives

To explore the concept of European Citizenship & its relevance today,
To reflect on the role of youth work in fostering a sense of belonging and democratic engagement among youth.
To equip participants with non-formal education (NFE) tools and methods to address citizenship topics in their local contexts.
To share best practices and experiences regarding youth participation in democratic life.
To encourage networking and the development of future Erasmus+ projects focused on citizenship.

Target Group / Profile of Participants

Youth workers, youth leaders, trainers, or project coordinators working directly with young people.
Language: Must be able to work, discuss, and contribute fluently in Turkish (The entire program will be in Turkish).
Motivation: Interested in the topic of European Citizenship and committed to applying the learned outcomes in their organizations.
Experience: Open to both newcomers and experienced youth workers, provided they have a strong motivation.

Very Important Note about Application Form

You must fill the application form in English since the selection of participants will be made by your Nartional Agency of your residence.

The hosting NA of this offer will organise/cover the accommodation, programme and food.

The accomodation will be in single rooms.

Travel reimbursement

FOR ERASMUS+ PROGRAM COUNTRIES

The NA of your country of residence will reimburse your travel costs. Before applying, please contact the NA in your country of residence to confirm if they are willing to cover your travel expenses for this activity.

FOR PARTNER COUNTRIES

Turkish National Agency will reimburse travel expenses of participants from partner countries. Details will be sent to those who are selected.
