What kind of youth work services there are in Croatia? Who are youth work providers? What is the role of municipalities in youth work? How does the Europe Goes Local project support local youth work in Croatia? During this ONLINE study visit we will explore best practices in youth work in Croatia by visiting Croatian municipalities and meeting relevant stakeholders. Study visit in Croatia: what kind of youth work services there are in Croatia? Who are youth work providers? What is the role of municipalities in youth work? How does the Europe Goes Local project support local youth work in Croatia? During this study visit we will explore best practices in youth work in Croatia.
Objectives:
- to support understanding of youth work realities in Croatia
- to learn about local youth polices in Croatia
- to understand formal and non-formal education system intended for education of youth workers
- to get to know with wide range of youth organizations providing youth work in Croatia
- to foster partnership building between various stakeholders
- to understand the national structure and results of the Europe Goes Local project
Methodology:
- online meetings with youth policy makers on local (municipal) levels
- presentations of good practices in local youth work of two local communities – Karlovac and Rijeka;
- exchange of ideas, experiences and practices among participants
- experiential learning sessions on the topic of local youth work.
The target group for the ONLINE study visit in Croatia are municipal and youth workers from Lithuania and Slovenia willing to enhance their competencies in the field of youth work at the municipal level.
The working language is English.
