Europe Goes Local: Small steps, big impact: developing KA153 projects for municipalities

Training Course

19-22 May 2025 | Zadar, Croatia

This event aims to support municipalities in writing project applications for Mobility of Youth Workers (KA153) and its implementation within the municipalities, as well as connecting and networking with other municipalities.

Mobility of Youth Workers (KA153) is an action type that supports the professional development of youth workers and thereby the development of quality youth work at local, regional, national, European and international level, through non-formal and informal learning experiences in mobility activities.

The training course is part of the Europe Goes Local project, which aims to empower municipalities that play a key role in improving young people's living conditions in many ways. By strengthening transnational cooperation among municipalities and incorporating a European dimension into local youth policies, the EGL project ensures quality support for young people in facing numerous social challenges.

During the training, municipalities will be empowered to develop and write projects in the frame of Mobility of Youth Workers (KA153), as well as to network and connect with other municipalities.

As part of the program, participants will engage in practical work on developing their own project proposals, allowing them to explore how this format can contribute to the development of high-quality youth work in their municipalities and local communities. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to receive feedback and recommendations for improvement. The focus will be on various activities, including partnership building, study visits, and job shadowing.

Overall aim of the training course:

  • introducing municipalities to the “Mobility projects for youth workers” (KA153) Key Action type and empowering them for future project applications

Specific objectives of the training course:

  • analyze a project application through different segments: needs, objectives, participants, partnerships, recognition of competences, evaluation, follow-up, sustainability, and dissemination;
