Partnership-building Activity

23-27 November 2026 | Tangier, Morocco

This PBA offers a space for organisation representatives from Programme Countries and Southern Mediterranean Partner Countries to meet, exchange practices and develop future cooperation under the KA154 Youth Participation Activities action.

Meaningful Youth participation is a key priority of the Erasmus+ Programme and the EU Youth Strategy. Across the Euro-Mediterranean region, organisations play an essential role in creating opportunities for young people to engage in democratic life, influence decision-making and strengthen their communities. This Partnership-Building Activity (PBA) offers a space for organisation representatives from Programme Countries and Southern Mediterranean Partner Countries to meet, exchange practices and develop future cooperation under the KA154 Youth Participation Activities action.

This PBA aims at bringing together organisations from the member countries of Youth South Network (Erasmus+ National Agencies from Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, North Macedonia, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Türkiye) and South Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia) wishing to develop projects on the KA154 action Youth participation Activities of Erasmus + programme. 

It will bring together around 30 participants from organisations in the programme countries and neighbouring partner countries and it will focus on KA154 Youth Participation projects. The activity will include sessions on how to develop projects, how to cooperate with the neighbouring partner countries in this action and will be the opportunity to share best practices, challenges & ideas. It will also offer space for planting the seed for future meaningful partnerships.

This PBA will take place from Monday, 23 November (arrival day) to Friday, 27 november ( departure day) in Tangier, Morocco. 

For the selected candidates, there will be an online onboarding session on Wednesday, 4 November, from 12h to 13h30 CET

This session aims to create a platform for the participants to meet each other, discover more information about the methodology of the PBA, meet the organisers and the trainers, and ask questions about the event agenda and logistics. Participation in this session is mandatory. If for any reason the participants cannot attend, they must inform the team prior.

Objectives:

At the end of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Understand Youth Participation activities in Erasmus + (objectives, eligible actions, budget, project guidelines)
  • Explore and exchange ideas for projects, good practices and partnerships
  • Formulate a basic idea of an international project or partnership that follows the programme priorities and the action’s rules 
  • Develop quality partnerships involving neighbouring partner countries to foster youth participation on both shores of the mediterranean

The programme will combine:

  • Networking activities
  • Thematic discussions on youth participation
  • Presentations of inspiring practices
  • Partnership marketplace sessions
  • Project design workshops
  • Intercultural activities
  • Reflection and peer learning in a space where challenges are discussed and solutions are shared

Target group:

  • Organisations with previous experience with the KA154 are very welcomed 
  • Organisations with no experience on this activity, planning on applying in 2027 
  • Organisations working on projects related to meaningful youth participation and willing to develop quality partnerships aiming to enhance youth participation

Profile of participants:

  • Organisation representatives who are fully familiar with the organisation's work, priorities and previous experience in implementing Erasmus+ projects (Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Mentors, Project Designers…)
  • With a mandate from their organisation to start developing cooperation projects and able to commit in new partnerships
  • From organisations that are motivated & willing to develop partnerships to apply on KA154 in 2027 
  • Participants must be able to communicate in english (working language of the PBA)

What this activity is not:

  • A step-by-step proposal writing course
  • A detailed reading of the Erasmus+ Programme Guide
  • A training on youth participation methodologies
  • Individual coaching on completing application forms

Participants are expected to:

  • Attend the full duration of the activity
  • Actively contribute to discussions and workshops
  • Participate in the online onboarding session
  • Share experiences from their organisation
  • Remain engaged in follow-up partnership development after the activity

Whether your organisation is already experienced in Erasmus+ Youth Participation Activities or is preparing its first KA154 application for 2027, this Partnership-building Activity offers a unique opportunity to meet committed organisations from both shores of the Mediterranean, build lasting partnerships and co-create projects that empower young people to participate meaningfully in democratic life.

Costs

Participation fee

There are no participation fees.

Accommodation and food

If you are selected for this PBA, accommodation in single rooms and food will be covered by the organisers involved in this project.

Travel reimbursement

In case your are selected, the sending costs for participants will be reimbursed by the sending National Agencies. SALTO EuroMed will direclty book the travel tikets for selected participants from the Southern mediterranean region.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
