ESCapeism

Training Course

6-14 November 2025 | Olteni, Prahova, Romania

A great opportunity for those considering starting a change in their communities and that are looking for tips and tricks on how to make volunteering to be all about the local impact.

Join Curba de Cultură, local youth NGO from rural Romania, making big changes in a small place. A big part of what we are doing was done with the help of volunteers, hosted in various international programmes. ESCapism is a training course dedicated to sharing our competences in running one of a best practice hosting programmes for international volunteering in Romania.

In these 7 days of training you will be able to get the full picture on hosting volunteers through European Solidarity Corps programme, from basics to the most common challenges, everything sprinkled with stories that we learned from.

We are looking for people connected to an organization working with young people (staff, volunteers, collaborators) that want to get involved even more and that can use what they learn back home in the organization.

People aged 18+ (yes, there is no upper age limit, because one is never too old to learn), coming from European Union and that are really interested and motivated to learn how to develop, coordinate and mentor youth volunteering programmes.

Curba de Cultură's mission is to work with and for young people in rural areas. This work is done for over 12 years through 3 youth centres out of which one is mobile, international volunteers, a radio station and a summer festival, an international conference and numerous projects focused on the development of young people in rural areas.

Since 2012 Curba de Cultură is implementing international mobilities for young people blended in our work with the community. We are regularly hosting and sending participants in volunteering services, youth exchanges, training courses, study visits and seminars. In the past 10 years we have hosted 359 volunteers from 40countries from all over the world. Most of them were hosted through European Solidarity Corps, therefore our experience with the programme is broad.
