ESC Training for Mentors from the Baltic States on Strengthening Volunteers’ Mental and Emotional Well-being

Training Course

25-30 May 2026 | Lilaste, Latvia

We invite volunteer mentors and youth work professionals from the Baltic countries to apply for the international training course “ESC Training for Mentors on Strengthening Volunteers’ Mental and Emotional Well-being.”

Mentoring plays a crucial role in ensuring meaningful and high-quality ESC volunteering experiences. Mentors are often the first line of support for volunteers facing emotional and psychological challenges. Therefore, it is essential to strengthen mentors’ competences in understanding and supporting volunteers’ mental and emotional well-being.

This training aims to provide a safe learning space to explore mental health topics in the context of volunteering, develop practical support skills, and exchange experiences with peers from different countries.

Objectives

  • To deepen understanding of mental and emotional well-being in mentoring practice
  • To strengthen mentors’ competences in supporting volunteers’ psycho-emotional health
  • To explore the role and responsibilities of mentors in fostering well-being in ESC projects
  • To introduce practical methods and tools for providing emotional support
  • To explore approaches for creating a supportive and safe environment for volunteers
