Erasmu4Democracy ProjectLab

Seminar

31 August - 5 September 2026 | tbc, Bulgaria

Are you working to improve municipal youth participation and local democracy? Do you want to find other municipal partners to design Erasmus+ projects for developing youth participation in municipal decisions?

Erasmus4Democracy ProjectLab is a partnership and project building seminar designed for municipal staff and their local partners working on youth participation to develop Erasmus+ Youth projects that enhance youth participation in decision-making. The focus is on finding relevant partners for designing joint Erasmus+ Youth projects. This activity is part of Democracy Reloading, which provides tools, training, and inspiration to municipalities to strengthen democracy by engaging young people in local and regional decision-making. Participants will gain insights into existing tools, practices and resources to integrate youth participation into local governance.

What can you and your municipality gain?

  • Find suitable project partners,
  • Develop Erasmus+ Youth project ideas,
  • Get fmiliar with the Democracy Reloading concept and its tools,
  • Get guidance on how to apply for funding,
  • Exchange practices and tools that support youth participation in municipal governance,

By the end of the activity, you will hopefully leave with concrete project outlines, new partnerships, and Democracy Reloading tools to move forward with an Erasmus+ Youth application.

Is this for you? You can apply if you are:

  • A municipal youth policy officer, or a municipal staff member responsible for youth participation,
  • A youth workers, NGO representatives, or other local partners who implement youth participation activities on behalf of or in cooperation with the municipal authority,
  • Youth representatives of municipal youth councils (18 +),

The methods would expect your active/interactive participation throughout the seminar and less formal dress code than in office settings.
