Empowering Youth Workers with Employment Skills (E.Y.E.S. for Employment)

Nowadays all over Europe, one of the biggest hot issues is the unemployment and due to the economical crisis, more and more young people can not get a job, meanwhile, they don’t have any possibility to improve their skills and gain more knowledge in order to have a better chance. With E.Y.E.S. for Employment project, we would like to emphasize the choices of unemployed young people: closing themselves into their rooms and being depressive, not having contact with their environment and give it up after getting no letters for a job interview. Or being an Entrepreneur, participate and initiate new activities and through these improve initiative, pro-activity, independence and innovation in our personal and social life, as much as at work.

Based on this, the project is focused on development of following entrepreneurship skills - strong communication, facilitation competence, creative thinking and building teams.

Objectives:

• To encourage the development of different youth work and non-formal education activities and programmes for empowerment of unemployed youth with fewer opportunities in local communities ;
• To empower and encourage participants to do quality needs analysis and develop strategies for local/European activities and longer-term programmes of youth work for employment and entrepreneurship for youth with fewer opportunities ;
• To discuss how youth work and non-formal education can positively influence better youth employability and employment and to share examples of good entrepreneurship and employment practices combating youth unemployment ;
• To discuss and understand how EU social inclusion and employment policies influence our countries being members of EU or having (potential) candidate status to EU ;
• To present the 2021 2027 Erasmus+ programme and to encourage the creation of future projects with unemployed youngsters with fewer opportunities.
