Empowering Youth Workers – European & Political Dimension

Empowering Youth Workers is an international project aimed at strengthening the role of youth workers within the contemporary European context by providing tools, competences, and perspectives to address the social, political, and democratic challenges affecting young people.

The project develops two innovative training modules focusing on the European and political dimensions of youth work. Through these learning paths, youth workers are supported to:

• understand European values, institutions, and policies shaping youth work;
• integrate active citizenship and democratic participation into their daily practice;
• critically engage with political, social, and digital dynamics influencing young people’s lives;
• develop practical tools to promote human rights, inclusion, and participation.

The project is grounded in a non-formal and participatory approach, aiming to empower youth workers to support young people in becoming active, informed, and engaged citizens.

This phase represents a key moment to experiment with the content, gather feedback, and further improve the training tools through the direct contribution of youth workers, trainers, and educators.

During the training courses, participants will have the opportunity to:

• explore the modules on the European and political dimensions of youth work;
• test activities, tools, and platform content;
• actively contribute to improving the materials through feedback and reflection;
• exchange with other professionals from across Europe.

Target group: youth workers, trainers, educators, and professionals working with young people who are interested in strengthening the European and political dimensions of their work.
