Do you want to discover the link between non-formal education and youth empowerment in the domain of employment? Do you want to know how to stress and value the full potential of youngsters?
If yes, this is for you!
The training program aims to provide youth workers/trainers/coaches & youth leaders with YOUTH-full tools based on non-formal educations methods. The learning outcomes will help them to give youngsters the opportunity of facing and understanding the complex labour market.
CONTEXT:
As more and more soft skills are taken into consideration by employers, it is important for youth workers to acknowledge this relevant fact. Youth unemployment and the appearance of the NEET population, bring new challenges to youth work, that is why it is relevant to equip professionals with innovative tools and knowledge which will help them to cope with the new conditions of labor market. They should be prepared to help youngsters to be aware of their soft skills in order to highlight them in professional (during job applications preparation or job interviews) and personal life.
TRAINING COURSE AIM & OBJECTIVES:
The purpose of the training is to help youth workers assisting youngster looking for a job or a vocational guidance and help them to fully unfold their unique potential.
The program « Explore your potential – Empowerment for Employment (E4E)» supports young people to develop their soft skills, identify their life goals, how they want to actively contribute to the world and take first steps towards it. Youngsters will build confidence in themselves, learn to learn and develop their projects through a collective group process based on the principles of non-formal education.
The project is based on an empowerment approach that puts the person as a subject of its personal development and within its community.
SKILLS THAT WE AIM TO TRANSMIT:
A complete understanding of the concept of soft skills.
To know how to highlight and emphasize youngsters soft skills
To be better informed about learning processes and learning strategies.
To be able to help youngsters to make better informed choices about their career paths and/or motivate them to pursue further training
To know more about non-formal education methods related to youth unemployment
To know more about how to design and facilitate peer-training based programs

This project is financed by the Erasmus+: Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to the participation in the course will be covered by the NAs involved in this project - except a participation fee which varies from country to country. Please contact your Erasmus+: Youth in Action NA to learn more about the financial details, and how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses. In general the sending Agency will take over the travel costs and the hosting Agency the accommodation costs and meals.
