EmpathyLab Training Course

Training Course

19-24 October 2026 | Rimini, Italy

EmpathyLab is a 4-day Erasmus+ training in Rimini for youth workers from Italy, Poland and Spain, focused on empathy, inclusion, human rights and anti-discrimination through practical non-formal education methods.

EmpathyLab is an Erasmus+ Training Course taking place in Rimini, Italy, from 19 to 24 October 2026, bringing together 15 youth workers and educators from Italy, Poland and Spain.

The activity is specifically addressed to people who are already active in the field of youth work and non-formal learning, particularly those working with young people, vulnerable groups or communities facing social exclusion and fewer opportunities.

The training will focus on empathy, inclusion, human rights and anti-discrimination, providing participants with practical methods they can use in their educational and youth work activities. Through non-formal education, participants will explore tools such as group discussions, role-play, simulations, case studies, storytelling and experiential learning.

Particular attention will be given to how to create safe spaces for dialogue, manage group dynamics, encourage perspective-taking and support young people in understanding experiences different from their own.

Participants will also work with the EmpathyLab Toolkit and reflect on how its methods can be adapted to their own local contexts.

The course is designed not only as a learning experience, but also as a multiplier activity. After the international training, participants will be encouraged to apply what they have learned and contribute to the organisation of local EmpathyLab activities or workshops in their communities.

We are therefore looking for applicants who are actively involved in youth work or non-formal education, motivated to exchange practices with an international group and willing to transfer the learning into their future work with young people.
