The main aim of this training course is to teach to adult learners how they can use sport as an educational tool for inclusion using the non formal education method.
The main aim of this training course is to teach to adult learners how they can use sport as an educational tool for inclusion using the non formal education method. Actually, the training course is aimed to demonstrate how to create games using sport therapy according the needs of people with special needs developing concrete activities for including them into the community. Those games are called “adaptive games” because they are adaptable according to the ability of participants: everyone will be in the same level and feeling actively involved in the game. Participants will analyse the aggregative power of sport, using it as a tool for fighting against discrimination. In concrete the learning aim of the training course are as follows: - To show how Sport can be the perfect tool of inclusion and stimulate in the activities people with less opportunities (specially disable bodies); -To break stereotypes towards vulnerable groups providing the participants with a good understanding about social inclusion/exclusion, discrimination, human rights education; - To create an international network of professionals, volunteers, associations aimed to disseminate successful good practices at international level and gathering new ideas from each other in order to amplify the multiplier

Mine Vagenti European Youth Group (Youth NGO)

“Mine Vaganti European Youth Group” is a no-profit association born in Sardinia in 2009 as an informal group.
From the very beginning the aim of the NGO was to promote EU “Youth in Action” Programme (EVS CODE: 2012-IT-13) in Italy (in particular in Sardinia) in order to encourage european mobility among youngsters.
Mine Vaganti is very active in Lifelong Learning Programme (Grundtvig, Leonardo and Comenius), Europe for Citizens, European Youth Foundation and Progress, Life+, IEE, FP7, United Nations programmes and works with foundations such as Anna Lindh and Japan Foundation.
During the last years, Mine Vaganti has created a good network of partners and the basis for a long term partnerships all around Europe.
Mine Vaganti has a consultant role for public and private bodies in order to develop european projects.
Thanks to the fruitful cooperation with local authorities, we implemented several projects granted by European programmes and we are working on many new proposals.
The NGO promotes:
- Intercultural Dialogue
- Social inclusion through Sport Values (in particular we are very careful about people with disability)
- Environmental protection and Green Skills as new job opportunities for young european citizens.
Currently, Mine Vaganti European Youth Group is one of the members of Youth and Environment Europe (YEE). Youth and Environment Europe (YEE) is a platform of many European youth organisations that study nature or are active in environmental protection. These member organisations come together from 28 countries. The aim of YEE is to encourage youth to be involved in environmental protection and to provide a platform where these organisations can work together.
In the frame of YEE Network, Mine Vaganti European Youth Group promotes and creates several green youth projects (sunny campaign, study session at European Council, training course, youth exchange, Evs and local activities).

The NGO is an official Hosting Organisation in the Leonardo Da Vinci and Grundtvig Programme.

Costs

This training course is fully funded by the European Commission thanks to the Grundtvig programme part of the wider Lifelong Learning Programme which include: travel expenses, accommodation, food, tuition fee and materials. In order to take part to this project, apply to your national agency before the 17th September 2013.
