This training course aims to raise awareness about crucial issues such as food waste, sustainability, and the importance of individual behavioral changes in combating the global climate crisis.

We aim to raise awareness about crucial issues such as food waste, sustainability, and the importance of individual behavioral changes in combating the global climate crisis. Throughout the duration of the project, 42 participants from 5 countries will have the opportunity to enhance their environmental and sustainable skills while experiencing the joys of cooking workshops and sharing cultural dishes and values with one another. Together, we will take steps towards creating greener societies by disseminating the knowledge and skills gained during the program.

OBJECTIVES:

  • To raise awareness on issues such as food waste, waste and sustainability,
  • Spreading the belief that just individual behavioral changes could play an important role in the fight against the global climate crisis,
  • To gain more environmental and sustainable skills,
  • To progress towards the goal of greener societies by disseminating the new knowledge and skills they have acquired,
  • Realizing how environmentally friendly, motivating and fun is cooking at home instead of buying ready-made and processed foods,
  • To share the dishes and values of their cultures with other participants.

PROFILE OF THE PARTICIPANTS 

  • +18 year old youth workers or youngsters

  • Who is residing in one of these countries: Germany, Portugal, Hungary, Latvia or, Türkiye

  • Being active or interested in the field of green skills, sustainability, and youth engagement.

  • Being a youth worker or passionate individuals who work or want to work with youth in their communities

  • Individuals active in social movements or people active as facilitators or educators in non–formal education, especially within youth organizations and associations

  • Able to communicate in English (this is the language of the trainings)

  • Being ready to commit to take part in the 9-days-training & to run local workshop that will be a follow-up of the training.
