EASTERN EXPRESS

Participants: The EASTERN EXPRESS TC will bring together 22 voluntary and professional youth workers, youth leaders, project co-ordinators working directly with youngsters who are interested in setting up international youth exchange projects: - 11 participants from Programme countries and - 11 participants from Eastern Europe and Caucasus. Only participants from these above mentioned countries can participate in the TC. Applicants from Programme countries should fulfill the following criteria: - Are representatives of a youth organisation or an organisation working with young people who are able and authorised on behalf of their organisation to create future project ideas within Action 1 - Have basic knowledge about the YOUTH Programme at decentralised level (experience in projects with Partner countries would be an asset) - Have experience from minimum 1 multilateral YOUTH project within Action 1 (other non-formal education experience would be an additional advantage) - Are prepared to participate in follow-up or evaluation activities organised by the SALTO-YOUTH network - Are prepared to actively attend and contribute during the full duration of the TC - Have the ability to communicate in English Applicants from Eastern Europe and Caucasus countries should fulfill the following criteria: - Have basic knowledge about the YOUTH Programme - Have experience in youth work in their country - Are ready to develop new Youth Exchange projects - Have a non-formal education background - Are prepared to participate in follow-up or evaluation activities organised by the SALTO-YOUTH network - Are prepared to actively attend and contribute during the full duration of the TC - Have the ability to communicate in English Working language of the EASTERN EXPRESS TC will be English! Trainers The trainers team will be composed of experts from the field of Youth Exchanges, with experience in International Co-operation with Partner Countries and Project Management as well as excellent knowledge of the European Community YOUTH Programme, in particular Action 1. Programme elements 4-days training course: - YOUTH Programme presentation with special focus on co-operation with EECA countries within Action 1 projects - How to find partners - How to organise good Youth Exchange projects - YOUTH Project Management within Action 1 (including basic elements of risk management) - Intercultural learning in Youth Exchange project - Partnership in Action 1 - rights and obligations of the partners
