EarthGuard Youth Workers is a PDA under the Erasmus+ Mobility of Youth Workers, coordinated by GreenYOUnion e.V. (Germany) and hosted by Share Youth Association (Turkiye), with partners from Romania, Portugal, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, and France.
This 7-day training course will bring together 32 youth workers to strengthen their competences in integrating sustainability and climate action into youth work. Participants will explore how to design and run eco-campaigns, use photography and social media for environmental advocacy, and apply 10 innovative non-formal methods collected in a shared Toolbox.
Objectives
- Equip youth workers with tools for ecological campaign design and management.
- Strengthen youth engagement and leadership competences.
- Share and learn creative non-formal education methods for sustainability.
- Foster international cooperation and prepare concrete follow-up projects.
- Empower youth workers to act as eco-advocates in their communities.
Methodology
The PDA is designed around non-formal and experiential learning, ensuring participants learn by doing and reflecting. Activities include:
- Interactive workshops on photography, social media, and advocacy.
- Campaign prototyping sessions, where participants create and test eco-campaigns.
- Peer-to-peer learning and exchange of best practices from each partner country.
- Reflection groups to connect daily learning with future youth work practice.
- Intercultural evenings to foster understanding and cooperation.
Participant Profile
- Youth workers (18+) from the partner countries.
- Actively engaged in youth work and motivated to integrate sustainability.
- Open to creative methods: social media, photography, campaign design.
- Able to communicate in English.
- Priority given to those with fewer opportunities (economic, rural, migrant).
- Be part of any organisation working with/for young people
Important
Participants are expected to:
- Attend the entire Training Course.
- Contribute to the Toolbox of methods.
- Implement follow up activities to better disseminate the project.

Accommodation and food (breakfast, 2 coffee breaks, lunch, and dinner) are %100 covered by Erasmus+ Programme, between 3rd-11th December 2025.
Participants will be gathered at Hotel where they will share a bedroom with individual beds, the number per room will change depending on the type of room, but normally rooms will be shared between 2-4 people from the same gender but different nationality.
Travel costs will be reimbursed up to the Erasmus+ travel limits after full participation and submission of required documents. Green travelling will be advised.
Participants must arrange their own travel to Eskisehir, Turkiye and return their home according with the indications from coordinator.
