Train youth workers who explore supportive feedback rules that help us evaluate ideas thoughtfully while respecting and encouraging the person behind them.

This online training is part of the EAC EMPOWER Impact Series that aims to lead towards edification with 30 weekly sessions evolving around:

Focus of this Session (3 of 30) of EAC EMPOWER Impact is within Safe Space: Kind & Constructive Feedback

In this session, as part of the HATE-LESS project, participants will explore supportive feedback rules that help young people evaluate ideas thoughtfully while respecting and encouraging the person behind them.

Learning Objectives: Participants will:

  • Explore how feedback can trigger or reduce inner Resistance
  • Learn to separate feedback on an idea from judgment of the person
  • Turn constructive feedback into useful information for growth
  • Practice receiving feedback without letting Resistance take over
  • Co-create and practice rules for kind, constructive feedback

Methodology: The training is based on:

  • Non-formal education methods (interactive, experiential learning)
  • HATE-LESS Participatory video approach
  • HATE-LESS Methodological Framework
  • Participatory Action Research (PAR) approaches
  • Hands-on video creation exercises
  • Reflection and peer exchange

About the Full Training Series

This session is part of a 30-week program divided into 6 themes with 5 sessions each. Each session will take at the same time of the week online. Each theme starts with a train-the-trainer session, followed by a virtual exchange, another TT session, and a VE session, closing with a participant showcase. So the train-the-trainer sessions are Sessions 1, 3, 6, 8, 11, 13, 16, 18, 21, 23, 26, and 28.
