Focus of this Session (1 of 30) of EAC EMPOWER Impact is within Safe Space: Finding Your Voice & Presence.

In this session, as part of the HATE-LESS project, participants will explore how young people can overcome self-doubt to turn on cameras, speak up, and comfortably occupy space in virtual environments.

Learning Objectives: Participants will:

• Learn how to recognise inner resistance
• Translate inner resistance into data about the path
• Experience how it feels to overcome inner resistance
• Explore how others made their own table when there was no place for them to sit
• Collect arguments to counter inner resistance holding us back from showing up
• Overcome your inner resistance by doing the opposite.

Methodology: The training is based on:

• Non-formal education methods (interactive, experiential learning)
• HATE-LESS Participatory video approach
• HATE-LESS Methodological Framework
• Participatory Action Research (PAR) approaches
• Hands-on video creation exercises
• Reflection and peer exchange

About the Full Training Series

This session is part of a 30-week program divided into 6 themes with 5 sessions each. Each session will take at the same time of the week online. Each theme starts with a train-the-trainer session, followed by a virtual exchange, another TT session and VE session closing with a participant showcase. So the train-the-trainer sessions are Sessions 1, 3, 6, 8, 11, 13, 16, 18, 21, 23, 26, and 28.
