E-factor: Training Course on Education to Employability

Training Course

12-18 April 2011 | Varberg, Sweden

Can Non-Formal Education support unemployed youngsters? How can a youth worker tackle the raising unemployment challenge? In this TC we will find answers to these and related questions with an international group of youth workers. Come and be part of it!
Our main objective is to improve participants competence in guiding and supporting youngsters in increasing their E-factor. “E” stands for Education and for Employability. Together we will explore answers to the question: how can Non Formal Education (NFE) and youth workers actually contribute to the development of employability strategies? We are looking for youth workers (in its broader meaning), who do not work directly on employability as their main topic, but who are sharing with youngsters part of their time and who are willing to keep in mind the issue of employability when organizing activities and projects, as well as when defining learning objectives: 1. We will critically reflect on how NFE methods can support employability. 2. We will explore links between learning to learn and civic competence and how they can positively contribute to unemployed youngsters' empowerment. 3. We will look at EU funding opportunities that youth workers can use as instruments for for developing youngsters' E-factor. We will facilitate an experience sharing among European youth workers. OBS! In the venue there is only stairs (no elevator).
