Digital Competencies for Youth Workers

Training Course

25 June - 2 July 2024 | Mezőberény, Hungary

The goal of the training course is to improve the digital competencies of youth workers to enhance collaboration, management, and the reach of both the organizer and its partners' youth initiatives.

"Digital Competences for Youth Workers" is a training course designed for youth workers and staff of youth organizations engaged in or aspiring to transnational collaboration. This course aims to equip participants with essential digital competences necessary for effective cooperation, enhanced youth engagement through digital platforms, compelling digital storytelling for project dissemination, and empowering youth workers to access opportunities available for nonprofits.

O1. Equip youth workers and partner staff with necessary digital competences in the field of transnational collaboration, project management, and Dissemination and Exploitation of Results (DEOR).

O2. Explore new digital approaches to engage young people in the activities organised by the partners.

O3. Establish a digital infrastructure for the partner organizations and enhance their digital processes for an improved transnational cooperation.

The target group of this activity is represented by youth workers and staff with backgrounds in youth organisations and with previous experience in youth work, interested in improving their digital competences and offering quality learning for youth using virtual components. The minimum age requirement is +18 years old and the minimum level of English B2.

The total number of participants is limited to 17, including trainers.

The primary outcome of this Training Course (TC) will be the enhanced digital competences of youth workers and the establishment of digital infrastructure to facilitate improved collaboration. A favourable outcome of the TC will be the partner organizations' enhanced ability to collaborate more easily on other projects with a shared digital approach across borders.

This TC will contribute to quality learning in the youth sector through digital means, aligning with the EU Youth Goals and the Erasmus+ Programme's horizontal priority of digital transformation.
