DIGITAL AND INNOVATIVE SMART YOUTH WORK – Training for the Future Youth Workers

Ready to bring your youth work into the digital future?

Digital technologies are transforming how young people communicate, learn, participate and connect with the world. But how can youth workers turn these changes into meaningful educational opportunities?

Digital and Innovative Smart Youth Work is an international Erasmus+ Training Course designed to equip youth workers, youth leaders, trainers and educators with creative digital tools, innovative methodologies and practical skills to make youth work more engaging, inclusive and future-ready.

The training will take place in Pinarella di Cervia, Italy, from 11 to 17 December 2026, bringing together participants from eight countries: Italy, Türkiye, Czechia, Greece, Lithuania, Romania, Morocco and Jordan.

WHAT WILL YOU EXPLORE?

• Use Artificial Intelligence in youth work: explore AI tools and their practical applications in educational activities.

• Make learning more engaging through gamification: introduce game-based approaches into non-formal education.

• Create powerful digital stories: use storytelling and digital media to inspire and empower young people.

• Communicate creatively: explore digital tools and social media strategies for participation and awareness-raising.

• Promote online safety: strengthen awareness of cybersecurity and responsible digital behaviour.

• Design innovative youth activities: combine creativity, technology and non-formal learning to develop practical educational solutions.

HOW WILL WE LEARN?

Forget traditional classroom-based training! The programme is based on non-formal education, active participation and learning by doing. Participants will take part in hands-on digital workshops, group challenges, simulations, creative labs, peer-to-peer exchanges and daily reflection sessions.

They will also collaborate with international colleagues, share experiences and develop mini-projects and action plans to apply the acquired competences in their own communities.

WHAT WILL YOU TAKE HOME?

• Increased confidence in using digital and innovative tools in youth work.

• Practical methods and resources to make educational activities more creative and inclusive.

• New international connections and opportunities for future cooperation.

• A digital training toolkit and access to shared online resources.

• A personal action plan for local follow-up activities.

• A Youthpass certificate recognising their learning experience.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

The project is designed for youth workers, youth leaders, trainers, educators and people actively involved in youth organisations. Participants must be aged 18 or over. There is no upper age limit.

We particularly encourage the involvement of youth workers from rural areas, minority backgrounds and those working with young people facing fewer opportunities.
